Redbeard, I watched the sun
polishing your sleek body,
warming the waters where you swam
like a son of Neptune,
and painting your hair with silver
and your skin with bronze.
Droplets of water shimmered upon your skin
like an armour of pearls disobeying gravity.
I could see the steam rising from you.
