The Dress
Well, here I am the night before the wedding painting the dress. I had to hang it next to the heater to make sure that it would dry in time for the morning. |
| This photo is from the actual
day of the wedding. You can't really see the silver and gold fish swimming up the back of
the dress in this photo though. It is also hard to see that I am not wearing any shoes. Some years before I had seen a couple of friends of mine get married. They were both geologists. Tina had chosen not to wear shoes for her wedding and I thought that was pretty cool so I did not wear shoes either. That also made it easier to climb the tree. |
| Since the wedding I have been really amazed, it is almost two years since then as I write this, at the number of people who have thought that my husband and I were total oddballs for choosing to get married this way. The part that seems to disturb people that most is that we were not side by side when we married. |
